Deepfake voice and video calls
- Attackers clone a voice from as little as 3 seconds of public audio — earnings calls, podcasts, LinkedIn videos.
- The call always carries a reason you can't check: 'I'm boarding', 'legal says keep this quiet', 'the deal closes in an hour'.
- Voice and face are no longer proof of identity. The only proof is a channel the attacker doesn't control.
Rule: Hang up and call back on a number already in your directory — never one given during the call.
